The 2023 of CAMEC opened with the participation in EcoWASTE, a major international trade fair in the sector which took place from 14 to 18 January in Abu Dhabi.
Participating in such a prestigious event allowed us to enter a market - for us still unexplored - in great expansion, that of the Middle East and North Africa, and gave us the opportunity to meet numerous private and public entities that showed great interest not only in CAMEC products and solutions, but in general in the development of a serious reflection on sustainability and environmental protection issues.
EcoWASTE was not only a trade fair with exhibitors from all over the world, but also a real forum where all major players in the sector had the opportunity to discuss topics of great relevance such as environmental sustainability, ecological transition, strategies for building a circular economy and so on. It is no coincidence that the fair was held in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, a country that has recently announced its intention to reach net zero emissions by 2050, and has developed a specific strategy to achieve this goal, which, if implemented, will make it the first state in the MENA region to eliminate its impact in terms of emissions.
Participating in such a well-attended and stimulating event allowed us to present our shredders and recycling plant offer to a completely new market, and to collect very positive feedback, in particular regarding the broad customization possibilities offered by CAMEC products. Our long experience in designing and building highly customized machines, in fact, allows us to concretely and specifically respond to the needs of a rapidly growing market, such as the Arab one, which is increasingly demanding not only in terms of quantity, but also in terms of quality of the solutions proposed.
The great interest being developed in the United Arab Emirates and in many other countries in the area for the search for solutions that combine economic growth and environmental sustainability allows us at CAMEC to provide a concrete technological contribution to start or strengthen paths of correct waste treatment and recycling. The feedback we have collected in this sense have been many and very positive: many local entities and companies are interested in starting projects and collaborations aimed at building real circular economy paths, in which waste is not simply disposed of in landfills, but can be valorized to become new resources.
In this perspective, the shredders and recycling plants of CAMEC are proving to be a winning card for contributing to the path of sustainable growth that the entire area is taking. The great success achieved by the products and plants presented at EcoWASTE demonstrates that the development and growth opportunities in this new market are significant, and that CAMEC's customized solutions are able to perfectly meet the needs of these new interlocutors.
