The new regulations and increasingly stringent controls on the correct management of WEEE (waste from electrical and electronic equipment) have now made it imperative to equip oneself with plants capable of correctly and effectively managing these types of waste.
CAMEC's WEEE disposal plants allow for obtaining high-quality Secondary Raw Materials in very short times. They are sized according to the incoming electrical and electronic material. They shred, separate, and deferrize the material with precision and then convey it into appropriate containers in an automatic and computerized manner. In fact, a general framework is set up to monitor the various separation processes.
Processing Phases:
- Manual separation of non-shreddable material, from a dedicated operator station;
- Loading and moving of the WEEE on a conveyor belt with reinforced metal slats to the shredder where the material is shredded and reduced in size.
- The resulting material is subsequently deferrized with a transverse deferrization belt;
- Finally, it is conveyed on a manual separation belt and subjected to suction in a vibrating channel; in this final phase, sorting and division between non-ferrous metallic materials, plastic materials, aluminum scraps, copper, brass, etc., are carried out.
Precious Materials Offered by WEEE
WEEE is valuable waste because it contains various materials that can be recovered as Secondary Raw Materials: precious metals such as gold, platinum, silver, aluminum, iron, copper, brass, and plastics.
CAMEC's "TAILOR-MADE" Approach in WEEE Recycling Treatment
With nearly 30 years of know-how and expertise in the recycling sector, CAMEC has long embraced the challenge posed by WEEE management, supporting both technically and in terms of implementation all those entities involved in recovery and specifically aiming to profit from WEEE treatment.
Our strength lies in knowing how to adapt our knowledge to the specific requests of our clients, being able to create completely "tailor-made" and "turnkey" machinery. Each system is born with different sections that can be "customized" on a case-by-case basis according to:
- the required loading and unloading modes,
- the shredding and separation treatment to be carried out,
- and the desired result.
Our plants, extremely customizable and versatile, can handle everything from large appliances (e.g., refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, televisions...) to smaller electrical and electronic equipment (e.g., computers, electronic boards, electrical cables, ...).
The output material will be shredded and separated according to its type (ferrous, non-ferrous, plastic), so that it can be marketed and reintroduced into the production process where it can begin to give life to new products.
