Composting Plant

The composting plant developed by CAMEC is structured around two core lines: the first dedicated to treating branches via a mobile shredder; the second to treating organic material, with bag opening, magnetic separation and screening.

Description

Branch line with mobile shredder

The CAMEC composting plant is structured around two core lines. The first treats branches and green waste via the DRM450/20 mobile shredder, operating directly at the collection site, with a conveyor carrying the shredded material to the accumulation hopper.

Organic line, from bag opening to storage

The second line handles the organic material: a metal tapes conveyor feeds the AS45/18 bag opener in a controlled manner, which opens unbaled municipal solid waste bags via PLC-controlled blade rotors. An overband separator removes ferrous metals, while a modular twin-screw system opens and moves the compacted organic material towards screening, carried out by a rotary trommel — an electro-welded cylindrical structure with bolted, interchangeable grids that allow up to three dimensional separations of the material. The CAMEC integrated conveying system combines the material from both lines and carries it to the storage area, ready for the subsequent composting process.

  • DRM450/20 mobile shredder, operating directly at the collection site
  • AS45/18 bag opener with PLC-controlled blade rotors
  • Overband separator for the removal of ferrous metals
  • Twin U-channel screw conveyor for opening compacted material
  • Rotary trommel with interchangeable grids, up to three dimensional separations
  • Integrated conveying system for uniform mixing of both lines
