Photovoltaic Panels Treatment Plant

Photovoltaic panel treatment plants must be carefully designed and equipped with dedicated machinery for shredding and screening the waste: CAMEC has developed various solutions for the treatment of category 4 WEEE.

Photovoltaic Panels Treatment Plant

Description

Every panel component becomes a raw material

All the components of a photovoltaic panel — the various metals, the aluminium of the module frames, the glass, the cables and the plastic — can be treated by mechanically separating them and reusing each part. This breakdown process yields ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, glass, silicon and plastic, each of which can be reused to create new products.

Recovery of glass, silicon, metals and plastic

The process automatically removes the junction box and aluminium frame, separates and screens the front glass, and then shreds the residual laminate to release the various material fractions. A densimetric table separates copper, metals and plastic granulate by density, while a dedicated system extracts the cell/silicon dust; a bag filter completes the air treatment, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.

  • Automatic removal of the junction box and aluminium frame
  • Separation and screening of the front glass by size
  • GRR280 single-shaft shredder for reducing the residual laminate
  • Multi-material separation: metals extracted, plastic freed of impurities
  • Densimetric table for separating copper, metals and plastic granulate
  • Dedicated extraction of cell/silicon dust
