Conveying and primary shredding
Feed conveyor and GSR480 single-shaft shredder
- Metal tapes conveyor: feeds the material steadily towards the shredder
- GSR480 single-shaft shredder: reduces the size of the rigid plastic via a single rotating shaft
The rigid plastics treatment plant is specifically designed by CAMEC to transform hollow-body rigid plastics into granulate usable as secondary raw material.
CAMEC Plastic Shredding Plant
The metal tapes conveyor constantly feeds the GSR480 single-shaft shredder, which reduces the size of the rigid plastic via a single rotating shaft. A metal detector removes metal contaminants, while a further pass removes residual non-plastic materials.
Secondary shredding is entrusted to the MG800 granulator, whose rotor configuration and blade/counter-blade cutting angle guarantee energy savings and reduced dust formation; the discharge screw integrated at the base of the hopper facilitates material outflow towards extraction, allowing large volumes to be processed. The electrical panel's PLC manages the entire production cycle with presettable recipes for rotor speed, separation conveyor speed, pusher pressure and ferrous removal conveyor reversal; cyclone extraction and an Eddy Current Separator complete the process, delivering high-purity plastic ready for reuse.
