Scrap Iron Plant

CAMEC's rotary shears and hammer mills are the top-of-range solution for processing scrap metal, capable of transforming any type of scrap — collected, baled or loose — into homogeneous, market-ready material.

How it works

CAMEC Scrap Shredding Plant with Rotary Shear CR2A645/20

Description

Direct loading and high-torque shredding

The result is a homogeneous, high-density output material, which reduces transport costs and the risk of contaminants in the processed material. The wide hopper of the CR2A rotary shear allows direct, safe and fast loading, with no intermediate stations; the shear, running at low speed and high torque, performs the first volumetric reduction even on mixed, tough materials, with interchangeable sector blades that are replaced without dismantling the rotors.

Complete recovery of iron and non-ferrous metals

The MV2000 vertical hammer mill performs high-energy secondary shredding, automatically managing and ejecting non-shreddable materials. Separation takes place in sequence via magnetic drums, for complete extraction of ferrous metals, and two Eddy Current Separator stages, for the removal of aluminium, copper and other residual non-ferrous metals; a rotary trommel screens the marketable Proler fraction. CAMEC plants process both baled and loose collected material.

  • CR2A rotary shear, with hopper for direct loading with no intermediate stations
  • MV2000 vertical hammer mill, with automatic ejection of non-shreddable materials
  • Two-stage Eddy Current Separation for non-ferrous metals
  • Rotary trommel for screening the Proler fraction
  • Multi-stage extraction and filtration system
  • Suitable for both baled and loose collected material
