Submarine Cable and High-Voltage Busbar Recycling Plant

Description

High-torque shear for heavy materials

The CR2A645/20 rotary shear, running at very low speed (2-4 rpm) and high torque (up to 450,000 Nm per shaft), reduces the material via a dedicated hydraulic unit; the base frame with hydraulic chute allows discharge on both sides of the machine. The material then passes to a metal-link belt conveyor and a Hardox 400-lined vibrating bar screen, which separates the material by particle size while a stainless-steel vibrating conveyor distributes it without damaging the rubber conveyor belts that follow.

Reject recirculation and final ferrous removal

The reject is fed back into the shear's hopper for further reduction, while an overband separator completes final ferrous removal before discharge.

  • CR2A645/20 rotary shear, torque of up to 450,000 Nm per shaft
  • Bilateral discharge via hydraulic chute
  • Hardox 400-lined vibrating bar screen
  • Stainless-steel vibrating conveyor for gentle handling
  • Automatic recirculation of reject material back to the shear
  • Fully custom-built plant, developed to the customer's specifications
