Toner Cartridge Treatment Plant

CAMEC has developed a dedicated system for the correct shredding of spent toner cartridges which, as such, cannot normally be disposed of as municipal solid waste.

Toner Cartridge Treatment Plant

Description

Dedicated shredding for spent toner cartridges

Since spent toner cartridges, as printing consumables, are considered waste not assimilable to other types, CAMEC has developed dedicated plants for this material.

The first processing stage is carried out by a TR4A350/10 quad-shaft shredder with a Ø30 wear-resistant steel screen, facilitating the separation of dust and metals in the subsequent process steps; the pre-arrangement for a nitrogen inerting system in the shredding chamber prevents dust-related hazards.

Filtered dust, material ready for reuse

The dust is processed and extracted via an open-execution vibrating screen and sent to the filter, ready for subsequent reuse.
