Sneakers Plant

This special CAMEC plant allows clean rubber to be obtained from end-of-life sports footwear, which can be reused and reprocessed within the circular economy.

Sneakers Plant

Description

Shredding and ferrous removal in a single cycle

The CAMEC plant performs an initial shredding stage with the GRR280 single-shaft shredder, with hydraulically driven radial pusher, which reduces the material's size via a rotor fitted with interchangeable, wear-resistant cutters; the interchangeable-section screen regulates the output particle size. Ferrous removal then follows, along with the pass through the Eddy Current Separator. The second shredding stage, with the MG400 granulator, achieves a particle size of 10 mm.

Clean rubber, ready for the circular economy

Finally, a zigzag air separator and a densimetric table are used to obtain clean rubber free of textile components, which can be reused and reprocessed within the circular economy.

  • GRR280 single-shaft shredder for primary shredding
  • Double ferrous removal (magnetic separator + magnetic pulley)
  • Eddy Current Separator for the recovery of non-ferrous metals
  • MG400 granulator, particle size down to 10 mm
  • Zigzag air separator and densimetric table for density classification
  • Automatic big bag filling with dual continuous discharge system
