Feeding and preliminary material sorting
Discharge and preliminary component sorting
- Bin tipper: discharges the material onto the line
- Manual pre-sorting: removal of unsuitable components and recovery of printed circuit boards (PCBs) and batteries
The CAMEC plant for WEEE treatment adapts to different production capacities and handles all categories of waste electrical and electronic equipment: cooling and air-conditioning equipment, large household appliances, TVs and monitors, small appliances and IT equipment.
CAMEC WEEE (waste electrical and electronic equipment) Shredding Plant
The process starts with a tipper that discharges the material onto the line, followed by manual pre-sorting that removes unsuitable components and recovers printed circuit boards (PCBs) and batteries. A pit-mounted metal tapes conveyor carries the pre-sorted material to the TR2A450 two-shaft shredder, which reduces the material's size at low speed and high torque even in the presence of resistant components; the MH900 hammer mill then refines the material with dimensional control of the output product.
Separation takes place at several levels: a magnetic separator extracts ferrous metals, a neodymium drum recovers weakly magnetic stainless steel, while an Eddy Current Separator isolates non-ferrous metals. An infrared (NIR) optical sorter finally classifies the materials by composition, also distinguishing between different types of plastic. A special configuration with a tearing-blade shredder is also available for the treatment of refrigerators, washing machines and dishwashers.
